The Vector Guide
Everything Vector does for you
Every habit you keep is a small vote for who you are becoming. Here is everything Vector can do to help, so you get the most from it.
Start in two minutes
No account, no sign-up, no email. Just open it and begin.
- Choose who you want to becomePick an identity, such as The Calm Leader or Present at Home. It shapes the habits Vector suggests.
- Add your first habit and tick itChoose a ready-made habit or write your own. Hold it to tick it off: that is day one.
Build habits that stick
Built on the research behind habits that last, not just a checklist.
- Your own habits, as many as you likeEach with its own time and days: every day, weekdays, weekends, or any days you choose.
- Hold to tickA habit is ticked by holding it for a moment, so a stray tap never counts.
- An "if-then" planTie a habit to a moment you already have: "After my morning coffee, I will read 10 pages." Your reminder says it back to you.
- A plan for what gets in the way"If I'm too tired, then I will read one page in bed." Decide in advance, so the hard moment is already solved.
- A small version for hard days"Read 1 page" still counts. On a busy day, or the day after a miss, Vector offers it instead.
Never forget a habit
Gentle nudges at the right moment, and your habits wherever you look.
- Reminders at your timeWith a "Mark as done" button right on the notification. No need to open the app.
- Tick from your watch"Mark as done" works on Apple Watch, Wear OS and other watches that show your phone's notifications.
- Evening check-inIf a reminder was swiped away, one calm notification in the evening lists only what is still open. On days you finish everything, nothing is sent. Turn it on in Settings.
- Home-screen widgetToday's progress ring and your habits on your home screen, on Android and iPhone. Tap a habit to tick it without opening Vector.
- A real alarm for wake-up habitsANDROIDOn a habit's page, "Set a 7:00 AM alarm" puts it in your phone's own Clock app, so it rings even on silent.
- Add to your calendarANDROIDPut a habit in your work calendar as a repeating event, so the time is protected.
Miss a day without losing everything
Most people quit habit apps after one bad day. Vector is built so you don't.
- One forgiven day every weekMiss one day and your streak carries on. The next morning, Vector tells you it was forgiven.
- A welcome back, not a resetThe day after a miss, Vector offers your small version, or a fresh start on Monday. Coming back is what builds a habit.
- Rest daysMark a day off for any habit. Rest days never count as missed.
Let your phone and watch tick for you

Five tips to get the most from Vector
- Start small. Two or three habits you can really keep beat ten you won't.
- Write the "if-then" plan. Tying a habit to a moment you already have is the strongest habit-building step there is.
- Set a small version. On a hard day, doing a little keeps the habit alive.
- Connect your watch or phone health data. Let steps, sleep and meditation tick themselves.
- Missed a day? Just come back. One miss is forgiven. Coming back the next day is what matters.
